Google accidentally reveals 47 different AI search options

from SERoundtable
The Quick Summary:
Google accidentally leaked 47 specialized AI search options beyond the basic AI Mode feature they recently launched.
The Main Thing:
Google Search appears to have unintentionally revealed a suite of niche AI search features currently being tested internally. Screenshots shared by Tom Critchlow (which were shared by this SERoundtable article) show specialized AI modes including Neural Chef, MedExplainer, Fantasy Sports Researcher, Smart Kitchen, and many others. When activated, these features simply add URL parameters without significantly changing search results, suggesting they may still be in early development before a potential public rollout.
Here’s the full list of 47:
The list includes; AI Mode, Web Guide, Memora, Air, AI Topics, AI Topics Layer 10, Info Sleuth, Allium, Automat, Neon, Topic Map, Learn About X, QTalk, MedExplainer, Fantasy Sports Researcher, Neural Chef, Smart Kitchen, Lsi, Golden Compass, Spark, Fact-checker, About This Image, Airport AIO, Bizmatch, Shopping, Health, Limelight, AI List, AIM Guided Narration (Fig), Home Energy Assistant, Explore, Clarifying Questions, Getting Things Done, Outfit Dreamer, Visit Guide, Highlight, Supercat Prototype, Nitroboost:Create, Fig Slideshow, Incentives Explorer, web_guide_flagship, Create, Stateful Journey, Stargaze, Weekend Hub, Motorcycles and Opt-in.
My Take:
Condolences if you’re in the motorcycle or health or fantasy sports niches, god damn.
Obviously we shouldn’t get all doom and gloom before we actually see what bullshit they roll out, but one thing’s for sure:
Someone on the AI Experiments tab is suuuuuuuuuuper fired.
It’s rare to get such a raw look at something Google is working on that could lead to a lot of sleepless nights for SEOs. At the end of the day, we all know there’s a singularity on the horizon for the business of ranking things, but as before we’ll adapt.
Of course, gone is the golden age when you got 100% of search traffic, but every change that’s happened we’ve adapted. Featured snippets were seen as a huge threat (and they WERE to sites like WhatTimeIsItRightNow.com) but it was really nice to rank for the featured snippet AND the #1 organic spot for “best CBD oil” back in the day—ask me how I know.
Then Google changed it so that you couldn’t own the FS + #1, and we adapted.
Then the top spots were taken almost exclusively by parasite newspaper/magazine sites for the most lucrative spots and we ADAPTED.
Then the HCU came and murdered affiliate and ad sites, mostly, and we’re ADAPTING.
So we’ll adapt to this as well, and we’ll just have to be happy with whatever our tiny share of organic traffic is, cuz it’s better than NO organic traffic (planning on talking about that tomorrow, but we’ll see).
This is definitely something I’ll be keeping an eye on, and will LYK if I hear anything else meaningful.
